We got in a small fender bender and chose Abra to repair our car because it was recommended by the insurance company. It was also really convenient to get a rental car from the shop because Enterprise is right across the street.
We brought our car in on a Tuesday morning with the issues being some scratches and minor damage near the front wheel. The following Wednesday (8 days after dropping off the car), Abra called and said that the fuel line had sprung a leak and was leaking gas all over the engine, making it unsafe to drive. They said that the damage was not related to the original accident, nor did they cause it, its just one of those things that "happens". So we had to pay the cost to repair the fuel line, even though the leak started randomly at the end of the 8 days that they were working on the car. Because it was unsafe to drive, and I just wanted to get my car back, I paid to have the fuel line repaired, but I felt that they were extremely dishonest in making me pay to repair damage that happened while the car was in their care.
I think Abra is one of those shops that takes advantage of people and makes customers pay for damage that was never there in the first place and I will never return. I've heard many recommendations for Bonfe's on West 7th street, and wish I had gone there instead.
