Self-service car washes are hard to come by in Minnesota. I moved here from the Intermountain West, and they are everywhere out there. It was nice to find one out here. Tuesdays they have half-price car washes - it's usually very busy on those days, but I've washed my entire car (really well) for about $4. On Tuesdays, $1 will get you 4 minutes on the clock. I haven't tested it out, but I assume that means usually $1 will get you 2 minutes.
