Nice to live in, expensive to move-out.
Had lived in Creekside Apartment (managed by Steven Scott) at 200 Nathan Ln N, Plymouth, MN for more than three years. The living experience there is good, but it is very expensive to move out. I was charged excessive fees for cleaning after thorough cleaning and unexpected carpet replacement.
I had hired a person to do a very thorough cleaning for an entire afternoon, and got only a couple of comments during final walk-through. However, I was still charged for 6 hours of cleaning at hourly rate of $35.
For carpet, I was told three times I do not need to clean the carpet, when I gave my move-out notice, during the pre move-out inspection, and during the final walk-through. Then they sent me a huge bill for carpet replacement because they cannot clean the carpet. The bill comes after the carpet had been replaced, and they didn't communication they intention to replace the carpet beforehand, leaving me the only option to pay for what they asked for.
I tried to work with their management and got confirmation form their top management team that what I experienced is their standard practice. I would highly recommend anyone who intends to rent a property managed by Steven Scott save enough money from the day you move in so you could pay for the move-out cost later. Good luck!
