What ever you do, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! The managers are terrible and so are the other residents. Here's a list of everything that went wrong. On the day we moved in, a year ago now, the resident below us called the cops on us for a noise complaint, keep in mind it was in the middle of the day and very obvious we were moving in. The 2nd time the resident below us called the cops on us was when our fire alarms were going off. We tried to talk to management and they did nothing about about the fact that resident continuously pounded on her ceiling making noise at all times of day, harassing us. Next, I had to pay for a broken garage the entire lease. I had to manually open it and shut it if I wanted to use it, and when I asked to just get rid of it because they wouldn't fix it they refused. Third, the heater never worked in our room. In the winter we would have to sleep on the couch because it got so cold, they never fixed it. Fourth, there were always teenagers screaming in the parking lot around 2am, management never did anything about that either. The keys to get into the pool never worked. I told one of the management and they said they would fix it right away, guess what? They never did, even after asking another two times. When it came to renew the lease, we definitely didn't want to, so we opted out of the lease. However, it wasn't an easy task. I had 4 roommates, and by the end of the lease the 4th was gone, not paying rent, and hadn't lived there in over 8 months, for only a 1 year lease. The roommate changed all of their contact info. so there was no way of getting a hold of them. Management informed us that we would need all 4 signatures in order to get out of the lease. Well, as you know there was no way to get the 4th signature, because roommate was long gone. We ended up needing to call IRET headquarters to get out of the lease, because the management was adamant we had to stay in the lease, which wasn't true. To top it all off though, we got our security deposit in the mail today, sent to our new address. Guess whos name was on it? The roommate who never even paid rent. Now, we have to call tomorrow and hope for the best. Please, save yourself the stress and headaches, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE, even if it's the last place on Earth available.
