Well I talke to them and did not have this issue. Yes it may be old bill they call for. But I will say the company is true. Not all business report to a sad credit report. So if you owe money then pay it. If it’s not you tell them so. Also collection companies all use ways to get you to pay your debt. And yes in some state you can be locked up for debt. You owe the money so pay it. It’s that easy. Only issue I had was I did not know what they were talking about but then I asked for all the information on the company I owe to find I do owe them I just forgot about it.

SCAMMMM! And clearly "Steven Rittierodt" who commented below, is part of the scam...this is his only Google review ever. The street view on Google (taken this year) shows a Vietnamese restaurant. They have 22 reviews on BBB, all but 4 are negative and claim the company is a scam. The 4 positive reviews, were all written on the same day 2 years ago and are full of grammatical errors (telltale sign of a scam).
