I needed new sneakers. Went in started to look around & found the section of shoes I want to look at. Try a pair on, size is tight, see if there’s a slight larger one. As I go back to look for the bigger one an employee walks and ask if need help finding anything. I told her “no thank you I found what I needed but I would get her if I needed help”. This women then came with in 6 inches of my face and said “ well I’ll come ask you if you need help as much as I want” and then proceeded to look dead in my eyes for five seconds. I was completely taken back by this. I asked her “ are you ok?” After which I stared to get my phone out and asked for her name. The moment I did this she stared walking away to another customer and said her name walking away. Doris. Doris is her name. She went away and I got my shoes in the right size. Went to the front counter and wait for 3 minutes as Doris talked to customers with the register UNATTENDED. She’s comes over & I asked her if she treats everyone else like and why she felt the need to get so close to me and try & intimidate me? She tried to brush & said she didn’t know what she did wrong. I’ve been going to buy shoes for over 8 years. Although Doris may not recognize me I know she is the manager there. There was nothing to warrant this kind of behavior from someone that works there specially a manager. The funny thing is, I will still continue to shop there and specifically that store. I like the product you have & you should not be punished for an employee being rude and inhospitable to customers. A little bit information about you should know about me that as an African American male who lives in a affluent suburb & this sadly happens more times than I care to mention. But at this point in life you don’t even get mad anymore. You just have fun with it. That means I’ll be seeing you in a little bit Doris. Hope you brush up on your customer service & human skills.
