Granite City Food & Brewery

A beautiful, clean, up-to-date building, and the food is decently good. It is a bit spendy for how much food they give you, though, which is the reason they lost one star. The staff are pretty friendly and the bathrooms are pretty clean, which is nice. Their wings are delicious!

The wait time was short, as we called ahead. The waiter was fairly efficient, especially with refills on beverages. We ordered an appetizer which took a little longer than expected for pretzels and cheese, which was good. We waited over half an hour after we had finished our appetizers for our food to arrive. The chicken limone was good and hot but the mashed potatoes were lukewarm with barely any sauce on them. The asparagus was good, but lukewarm as well. The steak was cooked to specifications and satisfactory but the green beans were barely cooked. Is that a thing now? And, as often happens (still in 2018) the waiter asked my male companion how things were when he brought the bill, to him.
