Summer '13, some friends and I were heading up north for a Boundary Waters trip. My early 2000s Honda Civic had a failure of the air conditioning compressor, literally pushing distance (at the light on US 53) from J M. And so we did! I walked into the lobby holding a smoking belt in my Leatherman pliers, saying "I think I need a new one of these". We were stranded with an urgent need to head north that day, without the replacement part in town. John (the owner) offered a loaner vehicle to get us up to Ely to put in that day. With no small degree of concern, I authorized him to repair my car by what means he deemed necessary - after all, we had to get home at the end of the trip, and I'd be out of cell phone coverage. When we got back from the trip (after four free days with a loaner!), I had a ~$120 repair, the cheapest possible option, bypassing my A/C compressor with a short belt. J.M. had many options at their disposal to charge me mid-three-figures, possibly more, but I needed to get home and they got that done. Whenever I pass through Ely, I bring them cookies. Of course I'm only one review, but I could not recommend this shop more highly.

Brought our bus here to have the AC checked out. This did cost a lot for repair but they worked with American Cooling Technology, North Central Bus, and our local mechanic to figure out this cooling system and why it wasn't functioning properly. Lundgrens, Anderson Auto, and many other shops won't even work on this cooling system. This was on a 2014 Ford e-450 with a Goshen Coach cab. Excellent service and fixed our problem.
