McCarrons Village Apartments

Having lived in my apartment for two and a half years, I have had a variety of experiences, mostly good. The one bedroom is larger than most I looked at and has nice big closets plus linen and storage closets. There are also storage lockers available to rent. Being elderly and disabled the fact there is an elevator in one of the buildings makes it possible to live in this complex. Also there are underground garages for lease. Other amenities I take advantage of is a party room, fitness room, internet provided, dogs and cats allowed with monthly fee and perhaps most importantly the entire property is SMOKE FREE. Management is quite knowledgeable and is willing to do whatever necessary to make living here pleasant. There are maintenance personnel on site so requests are attended to quickly. As far as negative comments: The neighborhood is not the best in St. Paul, but a security system is in place and there have been no problems since I moved in. Being between the railroad track and Rice Street, the noise level can occasionally be high. Though HRM is updating apartments there are a number which are not and won't be until residents move. I also find the laundry rooms, located at each end on each floor, to be very small and difficult to work in. The machines are coin operated rather than card operated so you need to keep change on hand.
