My legally parked car was the victim of a hit and run that knocked out my side view mirror and when the responding officer came to take my statement he told me that it was my fault for being parked too far from the curb (I was well within a foot). When I calmly explained to him that the only crime here was the hit and run I was victim to, he threatened to give me a citation for my parking job. I called the precinct to try to get a dog watch supervisor on the line to leave a complaint (can you believe this guy was dog watch?) but I'm still waiting for a call back a week later. EDIT: Moments after I submitted this I got a call back saying I had to speak to an internal review board. I'll bump this from 1 star to 2.
Officers in unit #524 at 6:30pm on April 20th seem to think their wishes are the law. They obstructed traffic by pulling way over the center line to tell me to slow down on Irving Ave. S between 26th and 27th. I was traveling at 25 mph and looking right at the sign that is posted stating 30 mph. They need to be informed that wishes and law are two completely separate things.
