Ulta Beauty

I love Ulta but I went there this Thanksgiving for Black Friday and even though I was one of the first through the door they had already run out of "gifts with purchase." I wouldn't have known had they taken down all of the signs around the store saying they still had them. It is super annoying when a company advertises something they don't have.

This was the first time I had been inside this Ulta and since they were having a grand re-opening, they had cards for a free makeup demo. There was nothing on the card or in the fine print about having to buy 2 products before being eligible for the demo. I went with 2 of my best friends and one of them just asked a MAC artist if she could "try on" certain lipsticks and she didn't hand her the card for the free demo, she got the demo but my other friend and I (who were willing to buy product after the demo) just handed MAC artists the cards and they explained to us that we had to buy 2-3 products before getting the demo, even though there was no mention of having to buy MAC product beforehand. The artists were also pretty rude. I don't think I'll be going to this location. If we needed to buy product beforehand, that's fine but then...don't put "complimentary makeup demo for coming in"; explain that on the card so as to avoid confusion!

Horrible experience in the salon. Paid $120 for my 7 year kid's cut and color. It turned out terrible, and the color wore out completely the next day after only 1 wash. Supervisor refused to give me my money back. Will absolutely never go back.
