Estimate was in two parts. I perfomed all troubleshooting. One circuit was open. Estimate to replace 10' of romex 2 hours, Estimate to add one 20 amp circuit, 3 hours. Total 500 dollars. Total time worked was 2.5 hours. At the time of estimate, it was said if additional troubleshooting brought to greater than five hours total, the bill would be more. Stands to reason, fewer hours would be less. About 15 dollars was taken off the 500. A charge for travel time for two was added to pad the extra amount. Travel time was never discussed prior.
