D&J Fish and Chicken

I love the food at D&J's. It's probably not a top choice of places to go if you're trying to eat healthy as it's pretty much a fry-up joint. That being said - the gizzards are FANTASTIC. Chicken wings and catfish are good too! I've never been disappointed with the food I get from D&J. Most of the employees I've encountered have been friendly (in person) too. That being said, one might wonder why I only rate it three stars... Well, I've called for a take-out order and been ignored, hung up on, had them put me on hold then take multiple orders or chit-chat with the in-store customers while I'm on hold and can still hear (this only has happened one time honestly), then also called and been told "I'm not taking phone orders right now. You have to come in." What?! If you offer this service and your system is working then that shouldn't be an issue. Also, it's just a hole-in-the-wall. There are only a couple booths to sit in and most often are filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. Definitely not a place to go for the atmosphere. BUT THE FOOD IS GREAT!
