Lived here for about 14 months and overall not a terrible apartment. I had a 1st floor unit and it was great for my dog to be able to go right outside from the patio. Most of my neighbors seemed to be in their 20s and 30s, so there was definitely a lot of noise, especially from the people living above me. If you're looking for a really affordable building near uptown, this is a great option. There are two beautiful parks nearby to walk your dog or bike. Trader Joe's is accross the street, which is perfect. There's also a Target you could walk to, Goodwill, a post office, plenty of shopping in the area. Steel Toe Brewing is a great hangout spot if you like craft beer and that's only about a mile and half away. The lakes are about 2 miles away so you could walk/bike to them relatively easily too. I wasn't crazy about the management. They were super nice when you talk to them, but the constant notes on your door, construction and empty promises of improving the courtyard were annoying (it used to have a pool but they removed it after several months with a posting saying they were working on it, then they said they would make it into a barbecue area, then it was going to be a dog run and that never materialized). I think they had to shut off the water main about 3 or 4 times due to various plumbing issues. Also, the parking lot totally sucks. They really should have assigned parking but didn't when I lived there. Overall though, it's a good place to live if you're not too picky about your actual living situation, but if you've got the money to live somewhere a little more expensive, then go for it.
I live here because of monetary constraints and location. The management is TERRIBLE. I partially chose it for the pool which never opened and eventually was filled in to make a dog park and barbecue area. Neither of those are going to happen now. They don't care about fixing things in occupied apartments unless it costs them money (i.e. Running toilet gets fixed, broken window on bottom level does not) and my building has gone a year with a broken dryer. Rent is going up based on outside cosmetic updates such as painting the building and adding cement blocks to the patio areas, I would rather get at least one functional amenity but like I said they don't care about current tenants. 2/2018: Almost two years here and am trying to buy a house. Even though I have stayed through SIX SEPARATE BATHROOM LEAKS that have ruined my personal items and always paid rent on time they will not work on extending my lease so that I can house hunt. They will only office 6 month or longer leases even though they previous would work with your schedule. Still no dog park or barbecue area, no new washer/dryers. Management and maintenance has changed over AGAIN and new maintenance tends to just walk in without giving notice they will be in your apartment. Does not leave update tags after completing work either. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to live. 5/2018 Finally moving out and they said my move out day was a Sunday so I could just leave the keys on in a drawer in the kitchen and leave. No walk through and leaving it unlocked. SKETCHY so happy to leave.
